Upcoming Events.......
Life in Mayberry - Starting Feb. 24, come on Wednesday evenings for dinner with Aunt Bee and family. All ages will enjoy an evening in Mayberry. We do need a head count for preparing dinner so please let us know if you can come - and we hope you can!
EASTER BASKETS………..A basket for donations
and a box for snacks are in the Commons to accept gifts for our College
Student Easter Ministry. We will gather on March 30 at 7 p.m. to prepare
the Easter packages to send. Pizza will be provided while we gather. Please
call Kay Gray for additional details of this ministry.
CHANCO: Registration is in full swing for summer camp sessions at Chanco
on the James in Surry, Virginia. Visit Chanco for an open house Spring Thaw
on April 18th from 1 pm – 5 pm or the Spring Fling on May 1st from
9 am – 5 pm and see for yourself what all the “buzz” is
about. Fly over a ravine along one of the five zip lines, take a tour, and

ACOLYTES: There will be an important Acolyte Practice on Saturday April 3 at 10:30 AM to prepare for Easter Sunday.
EASTER FLOWERS: If you would like to dedicate Easter flowers in thanksgiving for a blessing or in memory of a family member or friends, please see the Easter Flower Chart in the Commons. Cost: $25.00
RECYCLING: Please thank the Street family: Jennifer, Scott and Quint for volunteering to adopt the Recycling Ministry at St. Matthias. Look for recycling containers in the Commons and in all offices. The Scott family will collect our paper each week. Thank you!
Vestry Nominations
Our annual Parish Congregational Meeting will be held on April 11, 2010.
The Nominating Committee requests that you prayerfully consider volunteering
to serve on Vestry or suggesting parishioners for this important ministry.
Please submit your suggestions as soon as possible to any committee member.

KERYGMA: Wednesday morning Kerygma has begun a study of
“Shalom” for fourteen weeks. Please call Camille Archie if you
are inerested in joining the study.
The Monday night Kerygma class has begun a study of “12 Who Changed
the World” by Morris Inch which is about the lives of the Disciples.
